About Me

Hello and welcome to my site!

Who am I, you ask? Well, my name is Sharon, a housewife who has spent the last few years using pressure cookers as often as possible. Over the years, I’ve not only delighted and entertained my family with a number of wonderful dishes I’ve designed for the pressure cooker but have also learned quite a bit about using these kitchen devices safely and effectively.

Why did I develop an interest in these fascinating kitchen appliances? In order to answer that, I’ll have to go back a few years ago to a time when I was juggling the responsibility of raising three children and trying to go back to college on a part-time basis. It was a hectic time in my life but necessary to shape me into the woman I would become.

I wanted to take night classes at my local college campus but couldn’t because the start time of these classes clashed with my family’s dinner time. I couldn’t attend the classes I wanted to attend because I was busy prepping and cooking for my husband and our three children. I wanted to attend classes but I also wanted to prepare a hearty meal for my family, and it was a pretty big problem I just couldn’t seem to solve. You see, I’m the kind of woman who loves to cook elaborate meals for her family—I just don’t want to throw in a frozen pizza and be done with it.

Then one day my friend Linda told me I should look into getting a pressure cooker. That way, she said, I would be able to make dinner quickly, serve my family and still make it to my classes. So I decided to invest in one and see if it could solve my dilemma. And do you know what? It did.

After spending some time learning how my pressure cooker worked and doing a bit of research about it on the side, I was able to customize a meal plan that was not only fast and easy but was also scrumptious.  I could customize all the recipes my family had learned to love to be made in the pressure cooker. Tasty dishes such as Ham and Bean Soup, Chili, Country Pork Chops and more! Now it seemed like I had all the time in the world to follow my passion and I did it without having to compromise on the quality of the food being served.

After using the pressure cooker for years, I decided to take all of that knowledge I gathered and create my own site—the site that you’re currently enjoying. So go ahead and take off your shoes and stay away. After all, I not only have tips for you on buying and using a pressure cooker but I have also gathered up some of my favorite pressure cooker recipes to share with you. It’s all at your fingertips. I just hope that you enjoy it and find pressure cooker cooking just as fulfilling as I have.

Wishing you all the best,
Sharon Williams
