Cosori 7-in-1 Multi-Functional Pressure Cooker with Glass Lid and Sealing Ring, 6Qt / 1000W Review
The Cosori 7-in-1 Multi-Functional Pressure Cooker with Glass Lid and Sealing Ring, 6Qt / 1000W is a pressure cooker that I’ve been looking forward to reviewing for quite some time. Not only because I have read some of the best electric pressure cooker reviews on it but also because I thought it was a fine looking modern cooker. Let’s see what it can do.
One of the first things that I noticed about it was that it not only came with a glass lid, in addition to its normal pressure cooking top, so that it can be used to not only cook but also to serve. I also noticed that it came with a 304 stainless steel cooking pot that is easy to clean and prevents bacteria from hiding in imperfections that might exist on its surface.
This is a unit that has few problems competing with some of the better electric pressure cookers out there. It’s a 7-in-1 cooker so it can not only pressure cook but can also slow cook, cook rice, be used as a saute pan, steam and keep food warm. It also has a nice selection of cooking modes. In fact, it has 15 of them in all. This allows you to cook meat or poultry, a variety of rices, beans, broth, curry, soup, chili and vegetables.
And since it has a low, medium and high setting, users have the flexibility to cook just about anything they desire. They can cook that tough pot roast, delicate jasmine rice or vegetables and not have to worry about them getting overcooked. Up until I used this cooker, I was getting used to dual controls and thought that was the most control one could have over their cooking. However, I was wrong. This three level system offered me all the options I needed.
I cooked a number of different courses in this pressure cooker and all of them turned out great. I cooked chili and soup, a beef brisket and some Brussels sprouts in it and all of them turned out perfectly. It’s nice to use a system that gives such great control over your food.
However, there was one thing that sort of spoiled my experience with this unit. It seemed to me that it took quite a bit of time to depressurize. Not a extraordinary amount of time but enough for me to notice. It’s definitely something to think about.
It also has one few safety feature than some of the other pressure cookers I’ve used. In most of the best electric pressure cooker reviews, you’ll notice that most units have 10 safety features. This one only had 9. Does that mean that it’s not as safe as other units? No, I don’t think so but it is something that needs to be mentioned.
Overall, I think the The Cosori 7-in-1 Multi-Functional Pressure Cooker with Glass Lid and Sealing Ring, 6Qt / 1000W is one of the better pressure cookers in its class and would fit in very well in just about any kitchen.
